Feeling good....

so...its the RCRG intraleauge in a few weeks.
Pieces of Hate with The Jolly Dodgers (my team!) against Blackbeards Bruisers. Im very excited about the bout which is at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury on April 17th.
www.rcrg.co.uk for tickets!
I am feeling very positive about my skating at the moment, im getting faster and more agile every time i skate.
This is mainly thanks to fitting in lots of skating time at practice in Middleton and the Arcadia in Levenshulme which i am trying to spend as much time as i can at. I love it there, the floor is great and everyone is really welcoming and friendly, its a great place to skate. I have been helping teach there recently there too which im really positive about.
So things are good in Sui land.
Onwards and upwards :)

CCR bout 1 week today

Its getting closer...
Next sunday i will be playing for RCRG against CCR who are playing great and enjoying a winning streak.
I am really looking forward to getting on the track with my fellow rainy's and hoping to show CCR what we are made of.
We have all been practicing hard and we are looking to give CCR a tough game.
If you can make it to birmingham next weekend it will be a bout not to be missed!!

Snowbrawl and feather dusters...

So, it was off to snow brawl yesterday to see CCR play LRD in Leeds.
Me, Belle and Missy drove across to Leeds and after a wander round in mild confusion we found the venue in plenty of time to get a good spot to watch the bout.
LRD started well with some great play and mighty jamming. The points were close all the way through and with 10 minutes to go the scores were even. It was such an exciting game with both teams playing really well and it was nail biting stuff. Eventually the final score was CCR 104-LRD 99.
We left straight after the game as next stop was the RCRG bootcamp after-party back in Manchester.
I got to TV21 and found the girls and a gaggle of zebra's enjoying a few well earned beers after a hard day at the newbie bootcamp which was a great success!!
As time went on the inevitable rockworld call was looming so me, mooks, sheena and pyscho but our farewell and jumped in a taxi to go to "The only club in the world"
We had a really fun night, i didn't disgrace myself at pool and let mooks win of course!
There were a few bizarre people in there including a group of girls who were far to well dressed for rockworld and were sporting accessories of a picnic basket and a feather duster which made more of an appearance as time went on!
Me and mooks called it a day and wandered out into the freezing cold and went home.
I am very lucky to have such great friends and wouldn't have it any other way. One of the best part of roller derby is the amazing friends you make and the bonds you find with fellow teammates.
I love RCRG and I'm very proud to be a part of such a cool team.
Practice later...lets hope its a goodun

New Blog

So, here i am,
I am going to try and use this as a daily roller derby blog as a tool to monitor my progress and fitness with RCRG (Rainy City Roller Girls)
Lots of stuff done today
Week 3 of my challenges..
100 pushups
200 situps
200 squats
its getting harder especially the pushups but i am determined to finish the 6 week programme
I also did the Roller Derby Workout again, those girls really work you hard.
Me and Mookchops went ice-skating this afternoon, only fell over once and managed crossovers!!
Much prefer skating on 8 wheels tho'
Right, I'll be back when i have more time and something more interesting to say...
